How Proof works, what it verifies, and where to find everything.

Getting started

  1. Connect a sourceShopify, Stripe, Square, Whop, Polar, Paddle, Gumroad or a Phantom wallet, read-only. Proof can’t move money or change anything.
  2. Review a monthPick a completed month. Proof reads it privately and shows you the result first.
  3. Verify and publishCreate a private Proof, choose how the amount is shown, then publish when you’re ready.
  4. Share one linkYour record has a live page, a share card and an embeddable badge.

Sources

ShopifyStore orders and refunds for a complete period. Development stores can test the flow but can’t verify income.
StripeCaptured live payments in a month, minus refunds. You choose the account on Stripe.
SquareCompleted card payments at one location in a month, tips included, with refunds shown separately. You sign in to Square and choose the location. Reviews stay private for now.
WhopSuccessful live payments in a month, minus refunds seen at review. You’ll need your business ID (it starts with biz_) or a link from your Whop dashboard.
PolarPaid orders in a month, minus refunds. After you authorize, you choose which Polar business Proof reads.
PaddleCompleted transactions and approved refunds in a month. You create a restricted, read-only API key in Paddle and paste it on Connections. Reviews stay private for now.
GumroadSales in a completed month, with refunded and disputed sales counted separately. You approve read-only access on Gumroad. Reviews stay private for now.
PhantomLinks a Solana wallet so Proof can check its balances. Proof never asks for your seed phrase, never moves funds and never shows your wallet address. Money coming in can include your own transfers, so Proof doesn’t call it income.

Questions

What exactly does Proof verify?
A specific figure, like net sales or payments received, for one stated period, read directly from the source. It verifies the claim, not the person or the business. Profit is never verified.
Who can see my numbers?
Nobody, until you publish. Every record starts private. When you publish, you choose how the amount is shown: exact, rounded, a range, a threshold like “$10k+”, or hidden.
Why can’t I verify a month yet?
Only completed months can be verified, and the source has to be live (not a test store). If a review shows a warning, it explains what’s missing. Reviewing the month again refreshes it.
Why are Stripe and Shopify totals never added together?
They can describe the same sale, so adding them would double-count. Each source is shown on its own.
What do Verified, Stale and Revoked mean?
Verified means the record matches the source as of its last check. Stale means it needs a fresh check. Revoked means the source was disconnected or the result withdrawn. Full list of states
How do I share a record privately with an investor?
Open your Workspace and create a room for the record. A room is a private link you can revoke at any time, and you can see when it’s opened. People can also request access from a public record.
Can I disconnect a source or delete a record?
Yes. Disconnect any source on Connections. Unpublish any record from your Workspace; it goes back to private straight away.
How do I change my profile, password or two-factor?
Everything is in Settings: profile, password, two-factor sign-in, appearance and motion.
