Glossary
The words Proof uses, in plain English.
Records and checks
- Record
- One number on Proof, like "Net sales, March 2026", with its source and its check history.
- Source
- The account a number is read from, like Stripe, Shopify or Whop. Always read-only.
- Verified
- The number matched the connected source when Proof last checked it.
- Pending
- Proof is still checking, or is waiting for the period to end.
- Stale
- The last check is too old to count as current. It was true then, but hasn't been checked again.
- Partially verified
- Only part of the number could be confirmed.
- Unsupported
- Proof couldn't confirm the number with the data available.
- Revoked
- The source was disconnected or the result withdrawn. Its link stays up and says so.

- Rounded
- The number rounded down to a step the owner picks.
- Threshold

- Verified only
- No amount is shown, only that the period was checked.
- Private
- Only the owner can see it.
Profiles and sharing
- Streak
- Verified months in a row.
- Profile mark
